Administered by OCN Oxford Thames & Chiltern, a recognised authority working in conjunction with Universities of the North West.
QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority) recognised and ready for QCT (Qualifications and Credit Framework).
Provides a career pathway.
Includes floristry skills.
Provides practical opportunities to display skills.
A unitised programme at 4 levels.
Level 1 and 2 eligible for funding.
Level 3 recognised as Access to Higher Education and therefore eligible for funding.
Level 4 available and may be eligible for funding under local provision.
Level 1 (30 hours) suitable for 14-19 age group, absolute beginners and learners with some disabilities.
A choice within some units at Level 3.
NAFAS provides guidance on programme content.
NAFAS provides workshops for tutors and assessors.
NAFAS having been recognised as a HUB centre, the facility for private tutors is available to register and clairm certification for learners.
By 2010 re-recognition will be completed to ensure a suitable career pathway for 14 - 19 age group and more mature learners with a wide choice of units at Levels 2, 3 and 4.
